Global Knife Set - A Knife Set For Real Chefs

I travel a fair bit with my job. My boss owns a few different restaurants in varying cities and it is my job to make sure the kitchens are kept up to the standard that is required. I always carry my work knives with me and they are kept for just that - work. But at home I recently purchased a set of knives and a block, as I was sick of cooking on my time off and using bad knives.

My wife and I decided on a nice Global Knife Set with block - something nice for the kitchen. Global knives are some of the best professional knives that you can get and I have been using them now for years.

We bought a Global Knife set that comprises of an 8.25 inch carving knife, a 7 inch chef knife, an 8.75 inch bread knife, a 6 inch serrated utility knife, a 5.25 inch utility knife, a 5.5 inch vegetable knife, a 3 inch pairing knife and a 4 inch pairing knife.

Global knives are great - each knife (including the handle) is made from one single piece of steel. Each knife in the Global Knife set was made in Japan from very high quality CROMOVA stainless steel and each handle is filled with just the right amount of sand to correctly balance the knife. Each knife stays sharp for ages and the blade is ground to a straight point.

You can also buy sharpening stones that are made by Global - the ceramic ones are the best to use as these give your knives a nice sharp edge in a short amount of time. I have always been happy with Global knives.
