Keeping A Happy And Healthy Microwave Oven

Your microwave oven has been very good to you. It works tirelessly to bake potatoes and heat up otherwise tasteless food. It is time to appreciate all that is does for you. You can do that by not abusing its purpose. Here are some ways keep your appliance healthy and happy for years.

Your microwave is not fond of metal items. If you place metal things inside of it, it may become ill. It may try to spit them out. Nobody wants a sick appliance. Keep it healthy by using non-metallic items. Hand mixers are handy kitchen tools. However, never place your Kitchenaid hand mixer anywhere near your oven. Just the sight of it may make your oven sick. In this case, use a wooden spoon to mix things.

Aluminum foil serves many uses in the world. None of them are inside your appliance. Keep it away from your oven. It is metal and your oven does not like metal.

Have you ever used your Poulan chainsaw around your microwave oven? The answer is usually, no. However, there are people that place electric carving knives inside of their ovens. Take the time to remove things from the oven before cutting them. Be careful with any power cutting tools in the kitchen. This is especially true with chainsaws.

Do not attempt to use your oven for things that it is not intended for. Keep the doors and latches intact. Never remove them, unless you have already had all the children you want.

Do not insert living creatures in your oven, It will not dry them off. It will kill them.

Have you wondered how long it takes an egg to explode in a microwave? If so, research the question online. Also, look up how long it will take to clean up the mess. This is not the place for scientific experiments.

Be careful how you clean up messes. Maybe you did not cover a large plate of spaghetti. You may be tempted to run up to the oven with your Dyson upright vacuum cleaner attachment. Try a more conventional approach. That way, you will not be cleaning two of your nice appliances. A cleaning rag will eventually get the job done.

Your microwave oven is something to appreciate. It will bake a potato in a very short time. It can heat up most anything. Do not attempt to defeat its purpose. If you want a healthy and happy appliance, keep metals away from it. Keep it clean and care for it properly. You should have many happy years together. It will save you much time. You will have time to do other things. Make sure that you do not spend it, receiving emergency medical care.
