K2 Burnin Luv Skis Are A Great Way To Get Things Started
The best ones in my opinion are the K2 burnin Luv Skis and I cannot honestly see any other change in the horizon. One of the best skis in the K2 line specifically aimed at high performing women, they are great on groomed runs at fast speeds. I used to ski with the K2 One Luv which allowed me to go from being a low intermediate skier to a being an advanced one in no time.
When, I grew out of the One Luvs a couple of years ago I was looking for a zippy performance ski that was stable at high speeds, had good grip on ice and loved turning. It was necessary for me to be able to deal with most types of terrain under a wide variety of weather conditions. I actually tried quite a few high end technical skis made by well known brands but when I tested the Burnin Luvs there was no going back. The others were good but they cannot compete, in my opinion the Burnin Luvs are superior in all the aspects that are most important to me.
During the winters my family lives and works at a ski resort that has a lot of hard pack and icy conditions. We get occasional powder but it quickly gets chopped up and can be heavy. Fast on steep groomers is my favorite style of skiing and I find the K2 Burnin Luv skis responsive and stable with great edge control and precision. They can deal with ice and high speeds without much of a problem.
Their turning ability is amazing. They are great in transitions from open curves to tight turns, and it is particularly in these circumstances that they outperform other competing models. Turn initiation is fast and intuitive and they almost flick you out at the end. It took a couple of runs for me to get used to this but after a few times it is an a mazing feeling that you get to adore.
They a a little narrow to be seen as good powder skis but that is not the main purpose for which they were designed and they work great for the amounts of powder that we usually get. If I regularly skied where there was a lot of powder I would invest in another pair of skis for powder days.
The only thing I don’t like about the K2 Burnin Luv skis is the graphics. It is only my personal opinion but I think they look a bit tacky and the patterned bindings only make them look worse. I love these skis so much though, that I don’t even consider the aesthetics and, as I said, it is my personal opinion. I know many others who think they look great. All I care about is that they are a magnificent ride.
