Are You Ready For Halloween?

Halloween is a great time for children and adults to explore possibilities.  One can be the character you always dreamed of being or explore a different character for a day.  Create the kind of costume you want to wear.  One can wear any type of costume, carve any theme on a pumpkin and even decorate your yard.

Being prepared for Halloween makes schedules and events go much smoother.  Explore this handy checklist to make sure you have remembered everything:

1) Costumes:  Kids costumes, adult costumes, and pet costumes.  Remember to get any halloween costume accessories to jazz up your costume.  Having a witches hat, pumpkin earrings or a spider necklace can be fun ways to celebrate with ease at places that don't allow dressing in costumes.

2) Pumpkins: Pick a pumpkin, sort through pumpkin carving ideas, carve your perfect jack-o-lantern, get pumpkin carving tools and/or a pumpkin stand.  Pumpkin design sketches make creating a fancy pumpkin much easier.

3) Food: Buy great munchies .. or grab some free recipes from the net; If you are passing out candy to the kids, remember to buy it first!

4) Drinks: Special holiday concotions can make your day perfect.  Ghoulish lemonade or bubbly brew can make the celebration feel just right.

4) Decorations: Inside and outside decorations; possibly create a halloween graveyard.  Some people get halloween flowers as well as cobwebs.

5) Party Plans:  Decide if you are going to a party, creating a party, and/or giving out candy.

6) Music: If you want theme music, buying it early is recommended.

7) Movies: Halloween themed movies for before or during halloween add fun.

8) Haunted Houses: Though you can visit a haunted house in Disneyland at anytime, other places only have them at this time of year.  Now is your chance to either visit a haunted house or make one.

Of all of these, the costume and the jack-o-lantern are the most popular. You can enjoy a simple Halloween with very little work.  You can get into the Halloween spirit by watching movies or dressing up.  There is lots of fun to be had!
