A Short Distinction Of Antibacterial Soap Vs Purell Hand Sanitizer

It has been shown that over 80% of the infections that people get are contracted from germs and bacteria on the hands. A person who has a cold and sneezes in their surroundings, wipes their face, shakes hands with someone, or answers a telephone, is leaving germs that are going to be passed to someone else. The need for hygiene has been well known for several years. In order to reduce the chance of E Coli being spread in restaurants, all service staff are required to use either antibacterial soap or Purell hand sanitizer.

When the need for consistent cleaning of the hands became more apparent, options were needed that provided quick and easy methods of killing germs without the need to “go” to a washroom or resorting to using disposable gloves. While antibacterial soap effectively kills germs, it requires water and a towel to be used. The convenience of a product like this one is a stand-alone product that makes it easier to use in any location.

Another issue is that the solution had to be lightweight, convenient and affordable so that people would be motivated to use it anywhere where germs could be picked up by both grown-ups and children. An effective sanitizer that kills 99.9% of germs and dries quickly without the need for a towel is much more convenient when compared to soap and water.

When you are going to use a sanitization system in your home, office, or other location, it will be important that you have a cleaning station near each area that a person or family member may exchange germs. It is also important that you make sure that no one who will be using the product has sensitivity to alcohol, since this is the main ingredient of these types of solutions.

Antibacterial soap contains Triclosan or Chjloroxylenol, which does not work as fast as Purell which instantly kills germs on contact. However, most of the soaps contact protective moisturizers that keep the hands from drying out. While the sanitizing solution contains moisturizing emollients, it should be noted that constant use may cause some dryness.

Soap comes in several different sizes and forms, such as liquid or bar. Purell is available in different sized containers that have a pump through which the solution is put on the hands. The sanitizing systems are used to a great extent in health care and food service facilities where they can be set in a frame which can be moved easily when needed. Unlike a soap dispenser, the Purell is in a recyclable plastic container that can be discarded when empty.

Many people have found that keeping the Purell sanitizer in their homes is more convenient than making family members wash their hands at a sink when they have been outside, touch something or use the telephone. Since it does not need a water source to be used and air-dries very quickly, there is no need to have a towel or water on hand for use, such as with antibacterial soap.

When comparing antibacterial soap vs. Purell hand sanitizer, it will be helpful to consider the convenience of each product and where it may be most effective when used regularly. Having a small container of Purell in your vehicle, within easy reach of family members as they enter and exit the vehicle will prevent germs from being spread as easily in the home. This is a great product that will help lessen the use of disposable gloves in the household.
